“I never imagined that fond memories of spring and summer days spent woodworking with my father in the backyard would surface as I worked on this piece. My intent was simply to design a feather-light multi-season top with interesting lines; something to be slipped on whenever a little extra warmth or coverage is needed. As construction progressed, however, the geometry reminded me of those decks and benches and fences that we had worked on together and I came to the surprising realization that there are many parallels between building with wood and “building” with yarn!” – Heidi Kirrmaier
