Hello and welcome! I'm a knitter, photographer, designer and the creative director at Brooklyn Tweed. I use this notebook as a space to record inspiration and write about my creative work both inside and outside of BT. Thanks for reading, and don't be a stranger—I love hearing from you!

East Coast Book Tour

7 Comments August 29, 2016

Next week I’ll be heading back East for a week-long book tour to celebrate the release of Woolens! If you’re located in any of the cities above and would like to purchase a copy (or get a pre-purchased copy signed), please stop by and say hello!

At the final stop on the tour — the SQUAM Art Fair in Holderness New Hampshire — I’ll be joined by my colleagues Olga Buraya-Kefelian and Norah Gaughan. The three of us will be meeting, greeting and signing books at the Brooklyn Tweed Authors table throughout the event, alongside several inspiring vendors who will be setting up shop at the Art Fair.

I look forward to meeting some of you on the tour!

  1. I was fortunate to see you at the Loop in Philadelphia.I enjoyed listening to you talk about the designs in your new book.Safe travels for the rest of your tour.

  2. Jared… I need a recommendation! I have become obsesses with your style…. I am a knitter with a high skill level but very limited time. I have made my son (19 years old) a sweater that he loves and would like to make him another for Christmas. If I am going to devote the time I want it to be spectacular….. Can you recommend your all time favorite sweater pattern.? His style is very urban and he reminds me of you. He will be a nyc resident after college…. Can you help me.

  3. Hello, Jared’s all-time favorite sweater pattern for men is the Timberline cardigan, but, seeing as knitting it is a large time commitment, he also highly recommends the Fort pullover. There is a new pattern for men being released tomorrow in the BT Fall 16 collection called Tamarack, which is now on his top list of sweater patterns for men. All the best, Christina | BT Customer Service

  4. Just finished your beanie hat and am going to make my 2nd Seneca cabled yoke pullover. That is a beautiful pattern. What yarn do you now suggest as the Lush is no longer available? Thank you for your patterns. BTW, I loved the neat trick you taught me on striping in the beanie pattern AND the cast on method!!! That’s what helps make knitting so interesting!!!

  5. Hello Pam, Thank you for commenting on our post and for your kind words about our patterns and helpful techniques. For the Seneca pullover, we recommend using our Shelter yarn. On the pattern page there is a list of the required yardage and recommended amount of skeins per size. All the best, Christina | BT Customer Service

  6. I just read about your new book, Woolens, and I would like to know how I can obtain a copy.
My copy of Interweave Knits just arrived today and I noted reference to the Woolens book for the first time.
    Please advise.
    Thank you.
