The basic raglan pullover is elevated by eyelet bands worked in a contrast color. Julie set out to create a seamless sweater that “covers all the bases— familiar and simple, but with plenty of attention to beautiful details and a look that is balanced between feminine and sporty.”

With an attractive scoop neck, bracelet-length sleeves, a gently shaped waist, and an easy fit throughout, Elmont is a natural for layering or wearing alone. The myriad possible color combinations may mean you’ll want more than one of these pretty pullovers in your closet!

Fingering weight wool yarn in the following approximate amounts:

  • 1145 (1280, 1460, 1610, 1800, 1985) yards of Color 1 (C1)
  • 65 (75, 80, 85, 95, 100) yards of Color 2 (C2)

  • 23 stitches & 34 rows = 4″ stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking

Size A (for Main Fabric):

  • One 32″ circular needle and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs)* in size needed to obtain gauge
  • Suggested Size: 3¾ mm (US 5)

Size B (for Ribbing and Neckband):

  • One each 16″ and 32″ circular needles and one set of DPNs* one size smaller than Size A needle(s)
  • Suggested Size: 3½ mm (US 4)

Size C (optional; for Tubular Cast On only):

  • One 32″ circular needle and one set of DPNs* one size smaller than Size B needle(s)
  • Suggested Size: 3¼ mm (US 3)

*32” circular needle can be used instead of DPNs if using Magic Loop Method for working small circumferences in the round

Note: If you have adjusted the needle size to obtain the correct gauge, it may or may not be necessary to make a matching adjustment to the needle size used for Tubular Cast On due to variance in individual work. Please test your chosen cast-on method on your swatch.
