    Worsted weight wool yarn in the following approximate amounts:

    • 1350 (1550, 1730, 1925, 2180, 2385) yards 


    YARN

    • 10 (11, 13, 14, 16, 17) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 140 yards/50g)

  • Pattern specs

    CONSTRUCTION

    • All pieces (including collar) are worked flat from the bottom up, and then seamed together.


    FINISHED DIMENSIONS

    • 32¼ (37¼, 41¾, 46¼, 50¾, 55¾)” circumference at chest (seamed, with fronts overlapping approximately 3″)
    • Sample shown is size 37¼” with + 3¼” of ease on model

    GAUGE

    • 20¾ stitches & 26¾ rows = 4″ over pattern from Chart A, after blocking
    • 24-stitch panel of cable patterns from Cuff or Collar measures 4″ wide, after blocking


    Note: To check gauge over cable patterns, work Cuff for approximately 5″, then block and measure.


    NEEDLES

    • One pair of straight needles or a 32″ circular needle* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
    • Suggested Size: 4½ mm (US 7)


    *Knitter’s preferred style of needle may be used

  • Pattern Updates

    10 December 2021: Version 1.1

    On page 5, Left Front, Next Row (WS) below Begin Pattern, an extraneous "knit 1" instruction has been removed from the end of the line. The line now ends with "... work next Row of Chart B across next 3 stitches, knit 1, slip marker, work next row of Chart F to last stitch, purl 1 (selvedge stitch)."

    On page 7, Right Front, top righthand column, the Bust Increase Row (RS) has been updated to read, "Work as established to last 2 stitches, YO, knit 2. (1 stitch increased)".
